Domestic Rainwater Harvesting System
Rainwater is collected from the roof and stored in an underground or above ground holding tank. A filter incorporated in the tank, filters out leaves and heavy debris from rainwater before entering the tank. The system is equipped with an internal pump to propel the rainwater when required. A floating suction fitting is connected to the pump which extracts rainwater from the cleanest layer of the tank. Excess rainwater is removed from the holding tank by means of an overflow and passes into the storm drain. The domestic system is available in the following sizes:
  • 2607 Litres
  • 3500 Litres
  • 4496 Litres
Pressurised System
Stored rainwater is pumped at normal pressure directly from the holding tank to the services. A mains connection is fitted to the holding tank and acts a substitute when rainwater is depleted. The mains back up is configured to ensure minimum mains water is used. This system omits the requirement of an elevated header tank and it a suitable option where space is restricted for an elevated tank.
Gravity system
Stored rainwater is pumped at normal pressure directly from the holding tank an elevated header tank or attic tank. The services are fed by gravity from the header tank. The specially designed header tank is fitted with control devices to switch to mains water when required. The gravity system is a superior solution if un-interrupted supply of water is required. The controls within the header tank is not electrically dependant and therefore operational during a power cut unlike many other systems on the market.
